How to choose the right logistics label? Expert suggests!

The logistics label is one of the most important elements in the effective transportation of goods. It contains the main information, which is useful in the process of management, transport, storage and logistics. What should be taken into account when choosing them?

Logistics label – possibilities

First of all, the logistics label should be legible. When choosing the right solution, attention should be paid to its good adhesion to the logistic units. The choice of material and printing technology is important here. All this influences the correct management, but not only. The goods must survive various weather conditions, including rain or snow. The logistic label should remain intact.

The most popular are self-adhesive labels – their attachment is very simple, even takes place automatically.

You should also pay attention to the temperature at which the application will take place. If the labels will be applied directly to cardboard packaging, it is preferable to use rubber adhesives with increased initial adhesion, which also work well for application in lower temperatures. If, on the other hand, logistics labels are applied to film, labels with a standard acrylic adhesive can be used

However, if your company uses reusable packaging, such as plastic crates, non-adhesive logistics labels can be useful. These are attached either in special holders or by means of self-adhesive DUCT rings.

For logistical labelling, self-adhesive paper thermal labels are often used, which are used for short-term transport. For demanding environments, foil logistic labels, such as those made of polyethylene or polypropylene with a resin thermal transfer ribbon, are also recommended. They are distinguished by greater resistance to changing weather conditions.
